ABOUT US

Comet Girls Lacrosse is a girls’ lacrosse program providing rigorous instruction to both emerging and experienced players in Fairfield and Westchester counties and beyond.

Our program's emphasis is on instruction while having fun. We offer a progressive curriculum with considerable teaching time that addresses individual skills, positional play and team concepts. Our travel teams are intentionally small to allow players as much playing time as possible at tournaments. Our goal is to help the girls become versatile, experienced and competitive high school lacrosse players.

We offer skill-based instruction and small group play for girls in grades K-9.

We are committed to:

  • Providing outstanding, age-appropriate instruction in individual skills, positional play, and team concepts

  • Offering programs that are mindful of the girls’ other athletic commitments

Our program has a particular emphasis on rigorous instruction and small teams. Our progressive curriculum is comprehensive in addressing individual skills, positional play and team concepts. In addition, the Comet coaches are not only passionate about lacrosse, they have a wide range of experiences playing, coaching and teaching lacrosse to girls of all ages. For fall 2021, we are offering Fall Skills and Play for grades 2-8. Throughout the year, we will offer additional programs for girls as young as Kindergarten.

Where are the clinics held?

All of the Comet clinics, practices and day camps will be held at the Greenwich Academy fields and gyms. The address is 200 N. Maple Ave. Greenwich, CT.

Do we have to live in Greenwich to participate in this program?

No. The Comet Girls Lacrosse program is open to anyone. While most of our girls come from Fairfield and Westchester counties, we have had girls travel from as far as Litchfield County.
